The EMS’26 Data Is In: 14–20 Minute Average Dwell Time in a 10×10

Most trade show engagement gets measured by crowd size, but we wanted to know something more meaningful:

Did attendees actually stop, stay, and engage?

At the Experiential Marketing Summit ’26, Corporate-Fx partnered with the event’s official analytics team to find out:

EMS 2026 results

What happened surprised us.

• 5,000+ impressions over 3 days
• 2x stronger conversion than benchmark exhibit performance
• 340 attendees actively engaged
• 174 qualified visitors
• 51% qualification rate
• Average dwell time: 14–20 minutes

And this was accomplished from our compact 10′ × 10′ aisle exhibit, not a 20′ × 20′ island booth or a more expensive premium exhibit.

One of the most interesting findings came from the attendee movement analysis.

Heat Map 10'x10"

The heat map above shows where visitors spent their time inside our 10’x10′ exhibit.

Instead of quick pass-through traffic, engagement concentrated in repeat viewing and interaction zones where the MAGIC happened. Visitors didn’t simply glance and continue walking. They entered, stayed, participated, and remained long enough to hear the brand story and become qualified leads.

The data suggests something we’ve believed for years:

A successful activation isn’t determined by footprint size.
It’s driven by stopping power, message delivery, and creating reasons for people to stay.
